About this guide: Written by the Heracles editorial team. Sources and service prices checked on 9 October 2026. General information, not an individual diagnosis or prescribing recommendation.
The cost of testosterone replacement therapy in the UK depends on the prescribed formulation and how a clinic charges for assessment, medication and monitoring. Compare the full first-year cost, then the recurring cost once treatment is established. A membership fee and a treatment package are different purchases.
At Heracles, Testogel plans start at £90/month and injectable testosterone plans at £130/month. Initial testing is separate. The published first test is £29.99 and the fuller confirmation panel £129.99. The plan has a three-month minimum and hCG is charged separately. Your clinician determines whether treatment is appropriate.
This is a provider-published price snapshot, not an independent quality ranking or a quote for an identical prescription. Heracles publishes this comparison and is one of the providers listed. The clinics use different formulations, diagnostic processes and billing models. Follow each source link and confirm your own complete quote before paying.

Rows are alphabetical. Treatment-specific prices are shown because a gel, an injection and an oral product are not automatically interchangeable. Some oral low-testosterone treatments stimulate hormone production rather than replacing testosterone; ask which product is being proposed.
The Heracles service page lists prescribed medication, applicable administration supplies, scheduled blood tests and doctor reviews at six weeks, three months, six months and 12 months, followed by six-monthly monitoring. These are Heracles service inclusions, not a universal schedule for every clinic.
The consultation stage is listed as included with a low result. A screening kit does not complete the diagnostic process. Ask whether further confirmatory samples, collection appointments, extra safety investigations or tests after a treatment change will be required and what they cost. The final plan and recurring charge are explained before prescribing.

These calculations use the starting prices, one £29.99 screening test, one £129.99 fuller panel and 12 months of the stated plan. They are arithmetic examples, not a guaranteed complete diagnosis or a personal quote. Additional testing, hCG or a different plan may increase the cost.
| Example | Calculation | Illustrative first year |
|---|---|---|
| Testogel at the starting price | £29.99 + £129.99 + (12 × £90) | £1,239.98 |
| Injectable TRT at the starting price | £29.99 + £129.99 + (12 × £130) | £1,719.98 |
At unchanged starting prices, 12 months of the established plan alone would be £1,080 for Testogel or £1,560 for injectable care. Heracles bills monthly with a three-month minimum. Review cancellation terms and statutory rights before committing; the budget above assumes a full year of treatment.
Use this calculation for every provider: diagnostic tests + sample collection + initial consultation + 12 months of membership and medication + monitoring tests + follow-up consultations + supplies and delivery + any additional care. A lower membership price may still be good value, but it cannot be compared directly with a fee that includes medication and scheduled monitoring.
Start with your GP. If the assessment suggests testosterone deficiency, you may be referred to an endocrinologist. NHS availability and local pathways depend on the clinical assessment; paying privately does not establish a diagnosis. Read the NHS access guidance.
NHS prescription charges may apply in England, with exemptions and prepayment certificates available. Check the current NHS prescription charge rather than assuming a monthly private-clinic fee applies to NHS care.
