Clomid & hCG Instructions
Clomid (Oral)
Tips
- Take your dose at the same time every day to maintain consistent blood levels.
- Clomid can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow the tablet whole — do not crush or chew.
Instructions
Verify your prescribed dose. Clomid is typically prescribed at 25–50 mg per day. Check the label on your medication to confirm the tablet strength.
If your prescribed dose requires splitting a tablet (e.g. half of a 50 mg tablet for a 25 mg dose), use a pill cutter to ensure an even split.
Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or dissolve the tablet.
Maintain a consistent daily schedule. Taking Clomid at the same time each day helps keep hormone levels steady.
Attend your follow-up blood tests at 4–6 weeks after starting treatment so your clinician can assess your hormone response and adjust the dose if needed.
hCG (Injectable)
Tips
- hCG must be reconstituted (mixed with solvent) before use.
- Subcutaneous injection is the preferred route for self-administration.
- Reconstituted hCG contains no preservatives — store in the refrigerator and use within the timeframe advised by your clinician.
Instructions
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water. Dry with a clean towel.
Using a syringe fitted with a 21-gauge drawing needle, draw up the required volume of bacteriostatic water or sodium chloride solvent provided with your kit.
Use the 21-gauge needle to pierce the rubber stopper of the solvent vial and withdraw the solvent into the syringe.
Clean the top of the hCG powder vial with an alcohol swab and allow it to air-dry.
Slowly inject the solvent into the hCG powder vial. Aim the stream against the glass wall of the vial and swirl gently to dissolve. Do not shake — shaking can damage the peptide.
Once fully dissolved, swap to a 27-gauge injection needle (or insulin syringe) for administration.
Draw up your prescribed dose from the reconstituted vial. Hold the syringe upright and gently tap to move any air bubbles to the top, then push the plunger slightly to expel the air.
Clean the injection site (lower abdomen or upper thigh) with a fresh alcohol swab and allow it to air-dry completely.
Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site. Insert the needle at a 45–90° angle for a subcutaneous injection. Inject the solution slowly and steadily.
After injecting, withdraw the needle and check for any blood at the site. Apply gentle pressure with a clean cotton ball or gauze if needed.
Dispose of all used needles and syringes immediately in a sharps container. Never recap or reuse needles.
